Wisconsin Dells is 120 miles Northwest of Milwaukee, WI. Jackson and I visited here on 8/25/2007. The Dells is mostly know for being the water Park Capital with the largest indoor and outdoor water parks ever with 21 total water parks.
Besides waterparks the Dells is known for its water tours of the actual dells. Jackson and I took a tour on Captain Ron's Original Dells Jet Boats. Captain Ron's Original Dells Jet Boat tour describes the tour as "Safe and fun for the whole family, the jet boats will give you a fast-paced tour of the Upper Dells like no other. Our 1200 h.p. Jet boats can hold up to 45 passengers, and will take you on an unforgettable flight, including 360-degree spins at speeds up to 45 mph! The tour begins with a trip around Black Hawk Island - Jet boats are the only tour to do this. Our Jet Boats are able to navigate and maneuver much closer to the rock formations, and over shallow sand bars and passages. You'll have a chance to see native wildlife such as white tail deer, eagles, foxes, raccoons, wild turkeys, hawks, leather back snapping turtles, and more. Then we'll break out into the open for some wind racing fun and heart-stopping spins! Tracing the route of the old-time loggers that rode on log barges down the river, you'll see first hand the awesome power of the water that carved out the Dells and made it the beautiful, wild and mysterious place it is today. Our 1 ½ hour tour is fully narrated; the knowledgeable captains will give you historical information on the island, tell you Indian legends, and point out the most interesting features of the spectacular rock formations that form the Wisconsin Dells.
Other Activities at the Dells we visited was gambling at Ho Chunk Casino, tour and horseback riding at The Lost Canyon.
